Privacy Policy

Seeking Affinity · Effective September 8, 2026

Seeking Affinity is a private shared space for two partners. This policy explains the information used to connect your accounts, share your chosen content and respond to support requests.

Information you provide

The app creates an anonymous account identifier for your session. Your profile may include a display name and optional photo. Pairing records store invitations, connection requests, confirmations and the identities of the two connected members.

Content you choose to save can include check-ins, question answers, reflections, journal text and photos, activity choices, reactions and items on your Together List. Dates, authorship, shared timezone, visibility decisions and completion state help the app display and protect these records correctly.

There is no email or password registration in the app. An anonymous account identifier is still an identifier, even though you do not provide your real name. Losing the session can mean losing access; an invitation code cannot recover it.

How information is used and shared

Your information supports account access, your confirmed partnership, shared features, visibility rules and the retention or deletion choices you make. Content is not posted to a public feed. Your connected partner can see the material you publish for the pair. Question and reflection answers are hidden from the other partner until both members submit.

Private drafts are kept on your device for your own use. Submitted answers are stored on the service with access restrictions before mutual reveal. “Private” describes access within the product; the app does not provide end-to-end encryption or prevent another person from copying content they are allowed to view.

Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, operated by Google, provide account and shared-data services. Photos are compressed and stored with your records. These providers also process technical information needed to operate and secure their services, such as network addresses and service request information. See Firebase privacy information.

The app does not contain advertising, analytics, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not sell your shared content or use it to create advertising profiles. Content may also be processed when necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations or protect the service.

Device storage and permissions

The device stores your account session, preferences, private drafts and temporary image files needed for editing or upload. Camera and photo-library access are optional and used when you choose a profile photo or add photos to a moment. You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings.

The app does not send push notifications or schedule local reminders, and it does not request notification permission. Any reminders scheduled by an earlier version are cancelled when you open the updated app. Partner updates appear when you open the app and connect to the service.

Disconnecting, retention and deletion

Leaving a space with Keep My Moments preserves your own eligible journal entries and photos while withdrawing shared access. Keeping shared history or deleting all shared data requires both members to agree to the same proposal. Each author can later withdraw access to their own retained shared content. Blocking closes the current space and prevents these accounts from pairing again; removing a block does not restore the former space.

You can manage available retained content in Past Moments or start Delete Account from Settings. Account deletion closes the active space and revokes access to your content first. Your authored records and photos are then removed in batches, and your account session is removed last. Your partner’s own retained records remain theirs.

Cleanup runs while a relevant app session is open and connected. If interrupted, it can require returning with the same session and choosing the available retry or resume action. Removal is not guaranteed to finish while all devices are offline, and no fixed deletion deadline is promised. Do not discard the session while a deletion is still in progress. Information already copied outside the app by a recipient cannot be removed by these controls.

Support requests

The Support Form works in a browser and does not require an account or sign-in. It stores your selected topic, message and any optional name or contact details for later review. It also records the submission time, page address, referring-page information when available and browser information to help diagnose the issue.

Support submissions are not publicly readable and do not appear in your shared space. They are held separately from app accounts; deleting an anonymous account does not automatically identify or remove a separately submitted support request. Use the form to request help with a previous submission, providing only the minimum information needed to identify it. Do not include passwords, invitation codes, private answers, photos or sensitive personal information.

Security and your choices

Service access controls restrict who can read or change app records. No system can promise absolute security. Keep your device secure and share content only with someone you trust. You can change your profile, manage optional camera and photo-library permissions, remove eligible authored content, disconnect or delete your account through the app.

For privacy questions or requests to access, correct or remove information that cannot be managed in the app, use the Support Form. The available response may depend on whether the relevant record and your authority over it can be verified.

Children’s privacy

Seeking Affinity is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. Anyone under 18 must not use the app or submit information through the Support Form. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information, use the Support Form to request review.
